Back Leg Stability Tip for Split Squats

Nice tip. Curious....when rising up, how crucial is it for knee to stay behind, or even, with ankle, or can knee go forward without injury? seems to be a lot of conflicting sentiment about this. Just wonderin'....

Knee can go forward without injury but the weight still has to be on the heel. Knee going forward take some of the stretch off the back leg though. I would still keep the shin vertical when under a lot of load though as this is still easier on the knee joint.
